We discovered during our research while writing our blog post “Why Your Business Needs a Website” that, “having a bad website can cause more harm than good”. The same holds true with the branding of your company.

Today, branding is more important than it has been within the past 100 years. With it being all over the internet and having much more visibility than years past, the importance of sending the right message about your company is crucial. Your brand is very valuable in that it displays credibility, quality, and experience. It is the heart of your company and is the reason why customers choose to buy from you. If they are excited about your brand, you’ll find that your customers will become your brand advocates.

Your brand identity starts with your company logo

Your logo is a visual representation of what your business stands for. It is an inspiration to your target audience, and is used to build loyalty with your customers. Use your logo as an opportunity for you to tell a story about your brand and who your company is. Do you want your company to be sophisticated? Joyful? Outdoorsy? Fierce? Your logo should reflect the values and personality of your company all the while speaking to the audience you are trying to attract.

Hire a professional

If you want your business to be taken seriously, hire a pro. It will be worth every penny. Not only will the artists create great design options that will suit the vibe of your company, but they will also generate files of great quality for use on various platforms. Remember - this image will represent you in all aspects of your business. Whether it’s on the exterior of your brick-and-morter, or all over the web, your logo will be everywhere! This is a very important initial investment to your company, of which should not be taken lightly.

The science of a brand color

When designing your logo, ensure that the color choices evoke the right feelings to your customer base. There is a psychology of color choice that is essential to branding your company and your products. We will explain this in a future blog post - speaking about color theory and what they typically mean. Stay tuned for that!
